My favourite restaurant in Woodstock. We've eaten here around 7-8 times, not including takeout. Warm atmosphere, wonderful staff, and the tastiest food in Oxford County, let alone Woodstock. Do yourself a favour: Grab a couple of friends and go eat here.

We haven't been to Woodstock in a few months, and I was surprised to see a high-end Indian restaurant establishment here. So, naturally, we had to try it out!! What luck when my daughter suggested it! ;-) thanks Honey!!

Inside is nice and warm, with a few booths and several tables, and an Indian decor. Staff was welcoming, and took the time to explain a few dishes, which we really appreciated.

Perusing the menu, I found several items that appealed to me, and ended up ordering vegetarian samosas, Seekh Kebab (a lamb dish they came with rice), naan bread, and a mango lasee. Hubby got a vegetarian dish today hat had a mildly sweet sauce, and DD ordered a shrimp dish that comes covered in a coconut sauce. This was delicious!

For the record, I would go back! Next time I would like to order one of the dinner specials, ie: dinner for 2, 3, or 4.

And by the way, I was too full for desert! I wanted Gulab Jaman... but never got the chance to even ask about it! Ahh well, something left for next visit.

Amazing. How this exists in Woodstock is beyond me.

Everything was so flavourful and fresh, and the portions were generous.

For once, I managed to find a gem of a restaurant without Yelp's initial assistance.  To come home and find out that the restaurant is so well reviewed is no surprise to me.

My family and I were traveling home from Niagara Falls and needed to get some dinner. We decided that we did not want to have anything too touristy, and we were also in the mood for something spicy.

We exited the highway at Woodstock, and drove into town. We spotted Tandori and decided that looked like a good place to try.

The restaurant was nearly empty, as it was about 35 minutes before closing.  Despite the fact that it was almost quitting time, servers took care of us.

Our first course was the vegetable samosas. The vegetable samosas at Tamdori are the best I've ever had.  Unlike the usual garbage you get another Indian restaurants where it's full of fluffy potatoes from a bag, these were made with care and were absolutely wonderful.

My main course was the butter chicken, and the sauce was made perfectly, we were also very pleased with the quality of the rice and the naan bread.

Our servers were scarce during the meal, but it wasn't too hard to flag them down when we needed something.

About the only bummer of the meal, and the reason for the four star, and not five star review was the fact that they didn't offer refills on pop, which I find kind of chintzy, and the fact that I ordered a chai tea and never got it.

On balance, we would definitely return to this restaurant if we had the chance.

Nice sit down restaurant that has simply amazing food. Unique use of spices were tasted in each bite.

Vegetarian dishes do not come with rice :( as did those that had meat based entrees ordered at our table.

Nice Indian beer choices...I favored the Cheetah. Was subtle and crisp not overwhelming.
